In Class: Genre analysis; what did we find? Generate second list: effective/not effective Personal Essay Film Topic exploration

Homework:

Blog post #4: exploration of topic: include what interests you, why you’re passionate about it; what other people should know; insider access
Investigation: locate and post three interesting facts; figures; images about your topic that you didn’t know already
Read and comment on everyone’s post: what interested you the most? What question would you like to know the answer to (factual and personal)?

In Class: Topic Exploration: developing and narrowing the focus: indelible moments

In-class blog post # 9: respond to comments and suggestions for revision (what needs to change; what gets cut; etc.)
Editing workshop:
Stations: audio recording, video, storyboarding (dump footage); mini–conferences

Homework: Additional filming; write voiceover narration, online conferences, etc.
